Christians and non-Christians have one thing in common. Both are scared of evangelism. Christians are concerned about offending others and non-Christians are often rightfully concerned that their beliefs will be belittled or disparaged. At New Hope, we seek to try to follow the example of Jesus. When confronted by people who were still searching and looking for God, Jesus listened to them, loved them as they were, and invited them to join him on his journey. It was to the religious people who thought they had it all together and looked down on other people that Jesus spoke harshly calling them to repentance. We know that we don’t have all the answers and that our lives are not perfect, but in following Jesus we have discovered that He does have the answers and in our relationship with Him we find new hope for our lives. We simply desire to invite other people to meet Jesus with us and begin to follow Him together.
