Do you have yarn or fabric scraps that need a new home?  Jicarilla Apache Reformed Church in Dulce, New Mexico can put them to good use.  They have sent over 100 blankets to missions in Africa  since March 2009. Women, kids, and teens are participating in sewing, knitting, and crocheting. They sell some blankets and aprons at local craft sales to pay shipping.   Specifics on donations:  pieces of material as small as 3" squares, large pieces to be used for quilt backs, any quilt batting or old blankets that can be used as batting, any weight of yarn for crocheting blankets and baby hats.  Bring donations to the church and Ann Blakeslee will take them to the Classis meeting in March to be given to Ina Montoya for the group in Dulce.

If you are interested in donating money to the relief effort in Haiti, some trustworthy ways and links are through our denomination, the Reformed Church in America: www.rca.org (our Reformed Church website with links), www.rcws.rca.org (Reformed Church World Service, a fantastic provider of emergency assistance- page with links to the donation page) or www.rca.org.haitiquake.

Prime Timers—Join us for a “Movie Date” on Monday, February 22 at noon. We’ll begin with a salad luncheon. Please bring a dish to share. Drinks will be provided. After lunch we will see the movie “The Proposal” with Sandra Bullock  - a real cute movie.

Assimilation needs your help.  Over the next several months Assimilation has a few events coming up.   There are so many things you could help us with.  Some are small some a little larger.  We would also love to have you join the Assimilation Ministry.   Please see or call Nancy, Kathy  or Margaret.

Please help me.  I am lost and need to find my home.  I am a silver tier tray with blue plates.  Last see at Ann’s reception on January 10th.  If you find me please leave me in the kitchen at the church.
