The Director of Music Search Team has two excellent candidates that we have invited to "working interviews" next week.  Each person will be meeting with a group of our musicians, conducting a piece of music, meeting and greeting them and then all will be debriefed…At Tuesday's consistory (church board) meeting: the elders met with Tyler, Rose and Caleb Teague and approved baptism for Sunday, August 3.  The full consistory met with representatives from classis who are requesting modest financial help for Mountain View Community Church as part of a classis wide project to revitalize that church. A decision will be made next month.  The Cell Tower project continues to move forward-we are waiting for the final copy of the lease agreement from T-Mobile…Summer continues to be an unusually busy and productive time around here as we continue our Director of Music Search, finalize T-Mobile Tower plans, prepare for a pancake breakfast, Vacation Bible School, All Church Garage Sale in support of the Gathering ministry, prepare for our Christmas in July School Supply Drive for Cimmaron Elementary and other local schools and continue planning for the fall…Last week New Hope stepped in to help a local homeless couple in a whole bunch of ways.  A special thanks to all who are walking with this couple
including the family that is giving them housing…This week I met with the Aurora Fire Department
Battalion Chiefs to introduce our team of 3 chaplains.  I am leading this talented team to serve the men and women of the Aurora Fire Department. We now have greater skills and abilities to offer and the job will be better spread among the three of us!
