A Note From:
Hey there New Hope! I’m not sure that I can speak for everyone, but it feels like the last couple of weeks have been particularly difficult, so I just wanted to take a moment to encourage you all about what Scripture tells us about suffering and difficult times. The opening of 2 Corinthians is a beautiful statement of what it means to suffer as a believer: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” The two most important points here are the following: God comforts us in our troubles, and he does so for a purpose - so that we can comfort others. The comfort we receive from God should never end with us, rather, it should motivate us to comfort others who are suffering. So as you receive the comfort of God, New Hope, reach out and comfort those in your life who are suffering!
Mission Of The Month
The Mission of the Month for October is Katlyn’s Fund. Katlyn’s Fund is an organization in Sioux Center, Iowa that is spreading the message of God’s love by advocating for Christian families to respond to the Biblical call to adopt. They also look for ways to minister to children who continue to wait for or will never know the love of an earthly family.
